Warm temperatures during spring led to quick growth until frost occurred at the end of April. Crop loss- es were limited at our elevation. Yield and grape ripe- ness were satisfying thanks to a dry and sunny summer.
Harvested in early October 2017. Macerated in cold settings before a 15-day fermentation at 25°C, followed by malolactic fermentation. Due to the use of bioprotection yeasts and nitrogen inertization, this is a wine without added sulphur components. Aged 8 months in concrete tank.
This wine has a deep ruby color, with purple tints. Its most distinctive attributes are fruit flavors, with notes of blackberry and cherry. It’s a full-bodied wine with supple tannins, giving a silky mouth feel. Decanting one hour before tasting allows the wine to unfold and the flavors to fully emerge.
